UC Davis Awarded $4.77M Grant to Convert Food Waste, Power Unitrans

University of California, Davis received a $4.77M grant this month from CalRecycle to upgrade its Renewable Energy Anaerobic Digester, or READ facility. The facility can be used to produce renewable energy, all while diverting thousands of tons of food waste away from land fills, where they would otherwise generate methane emissions that contribute to climate change.
